Born Dec. 29, 1916, in Coalfield to John William and RoxieHallcox Jones, he married Mary Lillian "Lynnn" Cox on June 7, 1942 inKnoxville. She survives. Also surviving: duaghters, Joanne and DanCurtis of Custer, Wis., and Barbara and Mike Sallee of Bloomington;five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a host of hiecesand nephews, some of whom live in Morgan County.
