Mr. Fritts was born September 24th, 1925 in Oliver Springs. Following his high school graduation he entered into the military where he served his country in the United States Armed Forces. Following his military discharge, he worked as a salesman for a welding supply company. He attended Coal Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. Mr. Fritts was preceded in death by his parents, John Fritts and Lillie Walls Fritts; by wife, Ila Mae Adcock Fritts; by brothers, John Fritts, Jr., Jimmy Fritts, and Charles Fritts; by sisters, Josephine Padavick and Otella Harvey; and by a son-in-law, Allen Brown. He is survived by his children, Karen Denise Brown of Oliver Springs, and Doug Fritts and wife, Beth, of Englewood, Ohio; by sisters, Grace Smith and husband, Howard, of White Pine, Tennessee and Anna Jo Sweeney and husband, Dennis, of Lenoir City; by foster sisters, Joyce Dawson and husband, Lonnie, of Coalfield and Eloise McGhee of Oliver Springs; by brothers-in-law, Blane "Toop" Adcock, Charles "Rooney" Adcock and wife, Dottie, David Adcock and wife, Nelda, Marris "Parse" Adcock and wife, Wanda, all of Coalfield; by sisters-in-law, Janice Wormsley, and husband, Wayne, of Kingston, and Carolyn Jane Jones of Coalfield; and by special friend, Michelle Garcia of Oliver Springs. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Megan Fritts and Kelli Fritts, both of Englewood, Ohio, and Cody Brown of Oliver Springs. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 26th, 2009 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Robbie Leach officiating. Burial and graveside services will be held Sunday, December 27th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Adcock Cemetery in Coalfield. In lieu of flowers, the family would request that donations be given to the Beech Park Baptist Church Children's Department. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
