    DAUGHTERY, LONALD J., 75, Oliver Springs, passed away Wednesday, Oct.26, 2005 in the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was bornMarch 2, 1930 in the Fork Mountain community of Anderson County. Hehad been a faithful member of Tuppertown BaBaptist Church for over 30years. Mr. Daugherty retired from the Tennessee Department ofCorrections in 1995, after working 21 years as a guard at the BrushyMountain State Prison. He was a United States Army veteran, servinghis country during WWII, Korean War, Vietnam, retiring Jan. 1, 1969after 21 years of service. He was also a member of the DisabledAmerican Veterans, Tri-County Chapter No. 26. He was preceded in deathby his father, Leonard Daugherty; mother, Bessie Duncan; sons, L. JackDaugherty and Lonald "P-Nut" Daugherty; brothers, Leamon Daugherty,Leonard Daugherty, Jr. and J.W. Daugherty; sister, Mary Lola Lowe;step-brothers, Tom Duncan and James Duncan; and step-sisters, MaxineCox and Jean Duncan. He is survived by wiffe of 52 years, Shirley AnnPride Daugherty of Oliver Springs; son, John Daugherty and wife Tammyof Oliver Springs; daughters, Shelia Eason and husband Mark of OakRidge and Sherenia Napier and husband Mark of Coalfield;grandchildren, Scott Potterer, Benson Napier, Lucas Daugherty, SarahPotter, Samantha Massengale, Sierra Napier, Cody Eason and AbigailDaugherty; great-granddaughter, Kelsey Potter; brothers, Rev. DonaldDaugherty and wife Jennie of Petros, Conley Daugherty and wife Nellieoof Marlow and Lester Daugherty and wife Imogene of Cullman, Ala.;step-brother, Benny Duncan and wife Loretta of Petros; half-brothers,Jan, Mark and Tim Daugherty of Lafollette; half-sister, Peggy Ford ofLafollette; sister-in-law, Brenda Daughertty of Rockwood; and a host ofnieces, nephews and extended family members. The family receivedfriends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28, 2005 in Sharp Funeral Homewith funeral service following the visitation at 8 p.m. in the chapelwith Rev. Ralph Wilson and Rev. Mike Pride officiating. Burial andgraveside service was held at 12 noon, Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005 in theOliver Springs Cemetery with full military honors being conducted atthe gravesite.
