age 93, of Maynardville, TN, passed away August 26, 2008 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born July 31, 1915. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, and a member of J.C. Baker Lodge. He retired from Dempster System with 32 years of service. Preceded in death by: parents, L.C. (Houk) and Nola Cox; wife of 52 years, Grace Buckner Cox; wife, Estelle Janeway Cox; brothers and sisters, Vaughn, Jerome, Sam, L.C., Pat, Christine, Hazle, Jessie. Survived by: daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Harold Gilbert of Maynardville, Charlotte and Ronald Craig of Romania; sons and daughters-in-law, J.P., Jr., and Lynda Cox, Billy and Sheryl Cox, and Philip and Cathy Cox all of Maynardville; brother and sister-in-law, Charles E. a and Katheryn Cox of Maynardville; sisters-in-law, Zettie Cox of Maynardville, and Mary Lee Dalgleish of California; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; step-sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Mary Janeway, Jerry and Jane Janeway all oof Maynardville; step daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Sam Perry of Knoxville. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 Thursday with Masonic service to follow at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel at Cooke Mortuary. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Cooke. Reverend Vaughn Richardson and Reverend Albert Foust officiating. Interment Pleasant View. Pallbearers will be grandchildren. Honorary pallbearer Wesley Suffridge.
