    Per the 1850 census, Susannah was 88 years old and living with her son, Washington Underwood, and his family in Anderson County, Tennessee, USA. The census also states she was born in Virginia about 1862.

    Unsubstantiated family trees show her as born in Virginia (and married in Virginia) and married to Capt. William Underwood in North Carolina. More research is needed.
