Joshua and Parley raised their grandson, John Brown. John died inMissouri. He was sent to the creekbank with his horse and sled togather firewood that was stacked up by the creek bank. The sledoverturned and John was found later, frozen several inches into theice. Mary said he had been drinking. Mary was the niece of Sarah,the daughter of Jane Elizabeth Foster Hudson Cox.
