- EASTRIDGE, PATRICIA LOUISE "PAT" - age 64, a resident of Coalfield,passed away Monday, June 20, 2005 at her residence. She was bornAugust 3, 1940 in the Fork Mountain Community of New River, living herentire life in Coalfield. Pat was a member of Pleasant Grove BaptistChurch in Coalfield, where she was very involved in various churchfunctions, including serving the church as a Sunday School Leader,active participation in Vacation Bible School, organizing the "LivingChristmas Tree" program, and a member of the Adult Church choir. Shewas a 1958 graduate of Coalfield High School and in 1960, shegraduated from Draughns Business College of Knoxville. Pat began hercareer in banking as a teller at the Union Peoples Bank of OliverSprings. As time passed Pat advanced her career and later became thebranch manager for First American Bank, and AMSouth Bank Tri-Countybranch until her retirement in 1997. A project considered special andheld dear to her heart was the care and maintenance of the EstesCemetery in Coalfield. She was preceded in death by: her parents,Eugene & Maxine Patrick Eastridge; by a brother, Harold Eastridge; andby a brother-in-law, Paul Garrison. Survivors: sister, FrancesGarrison Scalf & husband, Boob of Blaine; nephews, Paul AnthonyGarrison & wife, Trish of Westerville, Ohio, Greg Eastridge of Powell;niece, Tiffany Cross & husband, Andy of Knoxville; special friend,Howard Crass of Oliver Springs; special caregiver, Ruth Lackey ofCoalfield. She was also survived by a host of special friends andfamily members. The family will receive friends 5:30-7:30 pm,Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Home with funeral servicefollowing at 7:30 pm, in the Chapel with Rev. Todd Hardin & Rev. MackSmith officiating.
