- DUNLAP, DAISY VIOLA "GRANNY" - age 86, a resident of Coalfield, passedaway Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at Parkwest Hospital in Knoxville. Shewas born January 20, 1920 in Morgan County. She lived most of her lifein Oliver Springs before moving to Coalfield in declining health tolive with her daughter, Deloris Patterson. She was a member ofBeechpark Baptist Church. She was also the owner & operator of Blue JDrive-in of Oliver Springs for over 15 years. Granny loved visits fromfamily & friends, especially Pastor Walls. She also enjoyed feedingthe birds & squirrels. Preceded in death by: her husband, Alvin P.Dunlap; son, Joe D. Dunlap; daughter, Callie J. Dunlap; parents, JoeErnest & Mary Katherine Lively Roberts; brother, Charlie RoRoberts;sister, Pearl Breeden. Survivors: son, Rev. Thomas Dunlap & wife,Judith of Virginia Beach, VA; daughters, Teresa Kaufman & husband,Vern of Murfreesboro, Delores Patterson of Coalfield; grandchildren,Joe Dunlap & wife, Gail, Sheila Dunlap, Angela Smith, Tommy Mullins,Kimberly Bell & husband, Tim Simmy Mullins & wife, Kanya, ChastityBowling & husband, Ian, Leah Edwards, Robby Edwards; 16great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kathy Dunlap Brooks ofCoalfield; a host of extended family members & friends. The familywill receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, May 19, 2006 at SharpFuneral Home with funeral service following at 8:00 pm, in the chapelwith Rev. Thomas Dunlap & Pastor Garvan Walls officiating. Burial andgraveside service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, May 20, 2006 at theOliver Springs Cemetery.
