  RUSSELL, SHIRLEY LYLES, 75, of Coalfield, died Saturday, Nov. 17,2001, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Born July 17, 1926, inCoalfield, she was the daughter of James and Ida Bell SolomanLyles,who are deceased. Mrs. Russell had beeen a lifelong resident ofthis area. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove BaptistChurch. She was the widow of Herbert J. Russell. She is survived bytwo sons, Kendall Russell and his wife, Lena, of Coalfield and DarrellOwens and his wife, Michele, of Oak Ridge; two daughters, Nancy Lylesof Coalfield and Shelvy Maston and her husband, Ted, of Oak Ridge;five grandchildren, Jeannette Russell, Michael Oslonian, DavidOslonian, Belinda Jackson and LaDonna Sims; five great-grandchildren;and two step-grandchildren, Sarah Rittenberry and Josh Rittenberry. Inaddition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Russell was preceded indeath by a sister, Beatrice Wilson, and two brothers, Vane Lyles andGene Lyles. A graveside servrvice will be conducted at 1 p.m.Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Lyles-Jackson Cemetery of Coalfield with theRev. Luke Ward officiating.
