- Roy Lynn Stonecipher, 70, Lake City, died Aug. 31, 2009, at the Parkwest Hospital surrounded by loved ones.He was born Feb. 28, 1939, the only son of the late Mildred Summers Stonecipher and Leonard Stonecipher of Briceville.
In the last year of his life, he accepted Christ as his personal savior in
a
special prayer meeting held on his behalf during a previous hospital stay.
He was preceded in death by: Maternal grandparents, Bertie Carroll Summers
and Orton Summers of Rockwood; paternal grandparents, Sarah Bell
Stonecipher
and William Martin Stonecipher, of Briceville. He loved to watch
Cincinnati
Reds baseball, play cards, and eat fish "fresh caught" from Norris Lake,
but
most of all, he loved his sisters, "the three best" he would say.
Survivors:
Sisters, Billie Jo Cox and husband Herschel of Norwood, Ohio, Margie
Sparks
and husband Harry of Briceville, and Mildred Hayes and husband Rickey of
Briceville; several nieces and nephews.

Tennessee, 1715 E. Magnolia Avenue, Knoxville, Tenn., 37917.
Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at
Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.
Funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, in the
Hatmaker
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Archie Seiber officiating.
Friends and Family will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009 at the Odd
Fellow Cemetery in Rockwood for interment.
