  He served in the Civil War as a Union Pvt. attached to Company B ofthe 11th Tenn. Calvary Regiment. He was captured in Morgan County, TNDec 10, 1863, and reported missing in action in Virginaia Feb 22,1864. Mary Allen Jones always said it was reported that he starved todeath.
