Mary Etta shares a headstone with her son's Earnest and Joe Ralf who both died young., Her Head stone said her name was Mary Etta Adcock. . . her family called her Etta Mae. She was listed in the 1920 Census as Etta Adcock and the 1930 Census as Mary E. Adcock. Eda Mae was supose to be (not proven) full blooded Cherokee and she was about 6 foot 1 or six foot 2 tall and large. Adcox. . . Fred's SSDI has his name spelled Adcox although he was born to parents who spelled it ADCOCK . . apperently it is so common to switch back and forth there is actually an Adcock/Adcox Cemetery in Coalfield (I beleive) . . .
