  Earl (Tom) Thomas Ruffner, age 79, a resident of Coalfield, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016. Mr. Ruffner was born in Harlan County, Kentucky, and was a Maintenance Superintendent in the Orange County Unified School District. Tom was in the U.S. Marines from 1954 through 1957 and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. Tom is preceded in death by his father, Doyle Ruffner; by his mother, Lucille Ruffner and by brothers, Ralph, Donald, and Harold Ruffner. He is survived by three children: Mark Thomas Ruffner and wife, Cindy of Vacaville, CA, Connie Leticia Aragon and husband, Chris of Mission Viejo, CA, and Donna Kelli Busher and husband, Steve of Mission Viejo CA; by seven grandchildren: Joseph and Madelyn Ruffner, Gabrielle and Roman Aragon, Jesse Guenther, Dillon and Chase Vargas; by two great-grandchildren, Devyne and Jordynn Guenther and a brother, Jimmy D. Ruffner of Dayton, OH. The family will receive friends, Saturday, June 11, 2016 between the hours of 11:00 am and 12:30 pm at Premier Sharp Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Estes Cemetery in Coalfield, TN.
