- Edna Uneada Davis, 72, of the Batley community in Anderson County, died Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at her home.
Born May 14, 1936, in the Windrock community, she lived in and around Oliver Springs all of her life. She was retired from Modine Manufacturing, Clinton, and was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by two sets of grandparents; parents, Clyde Brummett and Hazel Clowers Brummett; son, Gregory Wayne Whitson; stepmother, Lillian Brummett; and sisters, Audrey Ruth Brummett and Linda Lou Brummett.
Survivors include her husband, James W. Davis of Batley; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and David Patterson of Georgia, Patricia and Don Lawson and Tamara Whitson, all of Oliver Springs, Denise Whitson and Tim Pride of Batley, Uneada Whitson of Crossville and Janice Whitson of Oak Ridge; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Trish Whitson and Ronald and Trish Whitson, all of Oliver Springs, and Jimmy Whitson and fiance Linda of Crossville; stepchildren, Phyllis Davis of North Carolina, Carolyn Davis of Oak Ridge and Norma Green of Clinton; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and brother and sister-in-law, James and Darlene Brummett of Oliver Springs.
Funeral service was at 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, in Sharp Funeral Home chapel, Oliver Springs, with the Rev. Gary Jarrett officiating. Graveside service and burial were at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at Oliver Springs Cemetery.
