- George Richard "G.R." Jackson, age 76 of Harriman passed away Thursday, April 10, 2003 at Baptist Medical Center in Knoxville after a short illness. Preceded in death by parents, William L. and Ethel Jackson. He was a member of Trenton Street Baptist Church and sang in the choir, member of Mason Union Lodge No. 38 in Kingston, TN. Survivors include: wife of 58 years, Mary Goddard Jackson of Harriman; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Frank Tabasco of Dayton Beach, FL; son and daughter-r-in-law, Mike and Jane Ellen Jackson of Knoxville, TN; brothers, Bill Jackson, Jr. of Manchester, TN, Glenden Jackson of Coalfield, TN, Farrell Jackson of Coalfield, TN; one grandson, Michael Barnhart of Atlanta, GA; one great-grandson, Brandon. Funeral at 4:00 p.m., Sunday at Trenton Street Baptist Church in Harriman. Rev. Greg Lindsey officiating. Interment Estes Cemetery in Coalfield, TN. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Trenton Street Baptist Church in Harriman.
