Survived by daughter, Wanda Thornton Rainey; sons, James Robert and Mark Edward Thornton; sisters, Lucy T. Butler and Kelsi T. Holbert; Barbara T. Jones and Gertrude T. Julian. 7 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park in S.C. [Morgan County News]
