Survivors include: special granddaughter, Denice Stamey Moore and husband, Scott of Knoxville; grandson, Michael Nelson of Rockwood; stepdaughters, Elizabeth White of Rockwood, Diane Carr and husband, James of Kingston; stepson, Cecil Stamey of Harriman; sisters, Nina Burnette and husband, Fred of Coalfield, Brenda Gibson and husband, David of Harriman, Carolyn Blankenship of Coalfield, Dorothy Faye Yearwood, and husband, Lloyd of Soddy Daisy; brothers, Dwight Blankenship of Knoxville, Jesse Blankenship of Clinton; several nieces and nephews. Funeral at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, April 12, 2003 in Kyker Chapel with Rev. Nolan Moore and Rev. Garvin Walls officiating. Burial 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Roane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday at Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman.
