  FUTREL, SADIE M. - age 91, a resident of Coalfield, passed awayMonday, October 15, 2001, at NHC of Oak Ridge. Mrs. Futrel waspreceded in death by her parents, John Morrison and Ona JacksonMorrison, by her husband, James Conard Futrel, by three s sisters,Nettie Ellisson, Eunice Bailey, and Cora Gardner, by four brothers,Sam, Howard, Harrison, and John Morrison, and by a grandson, EddieGregg. Survivors: children, Susie E. Adcock Whitaker and husband,Thomas L. of Knoxville, and JoAnn Gregg and husband, Willie ofMosheim, Tenn.; son, Cedrick Jackson of Coalfield; grandchildren,James Warren Adcock, Rick Adcock, Vicki Francis, and Sonya Gregg; sixgreat-grandchildren; brother, Dave Morrison of Clinton; sisters,Lettie Fox of Knoxville, and Ollie Mayes of Strawberry Plains, Tenn.Special friends, Dorothy Moore and Marie Reynolds. Mrs. Futrel wasborn December 31, 1909, in Morgan County. She was a lifelong residentof Coalfield. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 18, 2001, at 8 p.m. inthe Chapel of Sharp Funeral Home with Rev. Mack Smith and Rev. FloydPowell officiating. Friends may call Thursday, between the hours of6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
