  Clinton Courier- November 12, 1953 - DEATH CLAIMS FORMER ALDERMAN Death, Friday Morning, claimed Charlie Bascom Weaver, 89, who had ahand in building many brick buildings in Clinton. He was a member ofClinton Board of Mayor and Alderman in 1932 and 1934. He was activein the Odd Fellows organization here. He leaves three daughters, Mrs.R.B. Wallace, Mrs. H.N. Guy, and Mrs. Sam Carden; three sons, Rufus M.of Clinton, B urnie C. of Knoxville, and Carl D. of Columbia; onesister, Mrs. James Morton of Washoington; 27 grandchildren, 25great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
