Rev. Samuel K. White, age 53, of Clinton, went home to be with Jesus on August 28, 2016 leaving behind his testimony of his assurance of going home , a place he always longed to be. With the Lord's guidance Sam pastored several churches and waas passionate about preaching God's word right up until he reached the end of his life's journey. He was loved by so many and loved everyone, even when he was sick he still made sure he prayed for those around him. Sam worked at Techmer PM for 25 years and was a devoted employee. He loved preaching, fishing and spending time with his family.
Preceded in death by his father, Junior White; sisters-in-law, Jewel White and Mary McCulley; brother-in-law, John McCulley.He leaves behind: beloved wife, Sharon White; mother, Edna White; daughters, Sabrina Hawkins and husband Josh, Sonya Jenkins and husband Dennis; son, Scott White and Ashley West; granddaughter, Marissa; brothers, David, Steve (Betty), Paul (Wanda), Mark (Alma), Ben (Vivian), Jesse White, and Thomas Goins; mother and father-in-law, James and Helen McGill; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Bob Ford; several nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends and family
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 31st from 5:00-8:00 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will be Thursday, September 1st at 11:00 AM at Jarnigan Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Copeland officiating. Interment will be at the church cemetery.
