    • SISSON, MRS. SHRELDA ELIZABETH JUSTICE, 96, who leaves 172 livingdescendants, died at 10:20 a.m. Saturday in Oak Ridge Hospital.Sheentered the hospital on July 26 after a heart attack. Mrs. Sisson sonsuffered an attack two years and had not beeeen well since. A native ofCoalfield, she lived in Anderson County at the time of her death witha son, Harlan. She moved among her children. She was the wife of thelate Richard Albert Sisson, who worked in timber and farming. He alsowas a justice of the peace and served as a deputy sheriff for a numberof years. He died May 1, 1950. The Sissons lived on a farm at OliverSprings. They had nine children, six of whom are still living.Deceasedare. J. M. Sisson, who was a member of the Anderson County Board ofEducation and worked as a state mine inspector,Richard Albert SissonJr. a mine supervisor in Argus,Ala. and Howard Sisson of Maryville whoworked at Alcoa. The Sisson reared five homeless boys.Mrs. Sisson wasa warm person who looved company. She enjoyed preparing food forfriends and passers-by.Several other in Mrs. Sisson's family lived toadvanced ages.Her father, M.M. Justice, a Morgan County farmer, livedto be 101.A brother Judge S.H. Justice of Wartburg, lived to b be 85.heserved as a state representative from Anderson, Morgan, Claiborne andCampbell counties.Another brother, Horace Justice lived on Justicefarm, died at 86.A sister, Mrs. Florence Cheek, died at 93, andanother, Mrs. Arpie Jackson, at 84.Mrs. Sisson had been a member ofPleasant Grove Baptist Church in Coalfield for 51 years.A daughter,Mrs. Cecil ( Arpie) Parks,is the Laurel Grove community correspondentfor the Clinton Courier-News.Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday atthe First Bst Baptist Church in Oliver Springs with the Rev.Larry Duke andtheRev.F.A .Alcorn officiating.Burial was in Oliver SpringsCemetery.She leaves two other sons, Dave Sisson of Coalfield andLuffman Sisson of Harriman, two other daughters, Mrs. George ( Flora)Massengill and Mrs. Jess ( Viola) Taylor, both of Oliver Springs, 42grandchildren, 96 great-grandchildren and 22great-great-grandchildren.
