Notes - Rutherford and Zula Elizabeth Willis married and were divorced before 1930. Zula then married Leon Jones, who was a cousin of Rosa B Jones Willis, and was living in the household with Zula's parents, siblings, Zula and her daughter, Dorris. After the marriage to Jones, Dorris was either adopted or simply took the Jones name. In 1940 she is listed in the census as Dorris Jones, age 13. Of course, the possibility that Dorris was actually Leon Jones' daughter can't be dismissed, nor can it be proven.
