  Married: Per Source: The Wallace family is of Scotch descent, said to be descended from the illustrious statesman and warrior, Sir William Wallace, hero of "Scottish Chiefs". William Wallace came from Scotland or Ireland to the colony of Virginia about 1730 and lived in Albemarle County, where his family was born and reared. The family consisted of four sons, and at least, one daughter, perhaps more, vi: John, William, Michael, Josiah and Hannah (Woods). Nothing is known of th families of William and Josiah. Y
